Aaron Brackins

Director of Media

Chicago native Aaron Brackins relocated to Los Angeles in July 1988. His calling in media ministry grew from a lifelong passion for audio engineering, video production, radio, and broadcast storytelling.

A Life in Media and Ministry

Aaron began working in the church as an audio engineer at age 12 at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under Dr. Royce D. Cornelius. Upon entering high school, he joined the Radio/TV program instructed by Dr. Ellen Ross and Edwin Posey. Through his studies, he earned an internship at Cablevision of Chicago, where he produced his first cable broadcast, “This Generation,” executive produced by Bobby Robinson.

At Cablevision, Aaron also worked as cameraman and editor for The James Spinks Show, hosted by actor Jimmy Spinks of the cult classic film Car Wash. Still drawn to radio, he interned at Gospel radio station WYCA in Hammond, Indiana, where he received his broadcaster’s license as an evening-shift board operator—all before the age of 18.

Serving Through Excellence

After moving to Los Angeles, Aaron served at KRLA Radio as producer of The Dominick Garcia Show and board operator for the Huggy Boy Oldies Show.

In 2011, Aaron found his church home at Greater Mt. Olive COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Carl Lofton Sr. Inspired by Pastor Lofton’s vision for an online ministry, Aaron helped upgrade the media department to share the church’s teachings with the World Wide Web. He became Media Coordinator, overseeing the website, social media platforms, and weekly service broadcasts.

God’s direction led Aaron to The WarCry Ministry in 2015 as an Audio Engineer. He was later appointed Director of Media.

His duties include media development for social media platforms, website design and maintenance, graphic design, audio and video broadcast streaming, outreach production setup, and producing. Through every assignment, Aaron uses his gifts to support ministry, strengthen communication, and help carry the message of The WarCry Ministry to the world.
